Cats Beat Visiting Aeropostales, 7-3
|
Getting a good performance from designated hitter Jason Leahy, the Fort Worth Cats defeated the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 7-3. Leahy went 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Cats. Yonetoshi Morikawa was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities. Fort Worth, at 38-44, sits in 4th place in the RCL AAA Bobby Cox Division.
Leahy had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the first inning, when he hit a run-scoring double. The Cats went on to win.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Leahy said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
