Dimond Cracks 5 Hits
The Minneapolis Freeze stopped the Reno Raiders by a score of 10-5 at House of Pain today, with the lion's share of the credit going to second baseman Dave Dimond. The 22-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Dimond said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Dimond did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Raiders.

"Not much that I can say," offered Reno manager Brian Travis. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Dave Dimond walked in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 10th and singled in the 11th.

This year Dimond is batting .364 with 22 home runs and 91 RBIs.
