The Cowboys grabbed a win, 7-6, at Stars Field, overcoming a fine effort from State College pitcher Alex McCarter. McCarter went 5 innings and allowed no runs. Edgar Pedraza, who is tied for 5th in the RAAA with a 1.25 WHIP, was the winner. He's now 11-2. The loser was Eric Church. Larry Vincent nailed down his 4th save.

Calgary used a clutch at-bat from Moises Mogrovejo to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put the Cowboys ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I still think this team can play even better," Mogrovejo told the Calgary News.

With the win, Calgary upped its record to 44-26.
