Flash Bang Out 6-2 Win Versus Peoria
|
The Fairfield Flash got a stellar performance from pitcher Héctor Bello, who handcuffed the Peoria offense en route to a 6-2 win at Excavatar Park. The winning pitcher was Bello, now 6-6. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4. Fairfield is now 41-40, Peoria 51-30.
The Flash grabbed the lead in the top of the first. With one out, Gabriel Juarez, who is tied for 10th in the RAAA with a .513 slugging percentage, hit a 2-run home run off Alfredo Velasquez, putting Fairfield in front, 5-0. For Juarez, it was his 15th home run of the season.
"It feels good to get this one," Juarez told the Fairfield News.
