Hitmen Rally to Eke Out Win
The Calgary Hitmen spoiled a good performance by Waimea first baseman Jay Nolan, bumping off Waimea, 11-10, at The Wind Tunnel. Nolan was 2 for 2 with a home run and 4 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Javier Rios, now 4-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. Calgary goes to 39-30, Waimea to 26-44.

Calgary used the clutch hitting of John Rondina to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Hitmen the lead, 11-10. For the game, Rondina had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Rondina said in reaction to the win.
