Campbell Hits 2 home runs in Bumblebees Win
|
John Campbell helped his team muscle past the Fort Worth Cats, 5-2. In the game, the Pasadena third baseman was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Jeremy Parker, the winner, improved to 5-0. He held Fort Worth to 2 runs on 3 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. The Bumblebees, at 46-33, sit in second place in the TML AAA Joe Torre Division.
Campbell had a game-changing double in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-0 slider from Lesmana Susanti, he banged a 2-run double to left-center, giving the Bumblebees a 4-2 lead. It was the 6th double of the year for Campbell.
"It was a solid team effort," Campbell said. "That's usually what it takes to win."
