Big Day by Pate Ignites Armadillos Win
The bat of Tyler Pate helped the Amarillo Armadillos top the Indianapolis Ambition, 8-2. Pate was 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Amarillo. Bryan Tetrick got the win, improving to 3-4. He held the Ambition to 1 run on 4 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 2. Indianapolis's current losing streak has reached 5 games.

With Amarillo leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Pate hit a fastball from Henry Henshaw for a grand slam home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Armadillos ahead, 5-0.
