The Eureka Hornets took Buffalo pitcher David Padilla's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Nest. The final score had Eureka getting past the Bison, 5-3. Padilla went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 12. Andrew Boger went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits. The right-hander, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2052 draft, struck out 3 and walked 2. With the win, he's now 2-1 this season. Jonathan Ortiz finished the game for Eureka and earned his 6th save.

Jesus Trevino had a big 2-run home run for the Hornets in the bottom of the first inning. With Eureka leading 1-0 and a runner on 3rd, he got a sinker from 30-year old right-handed pitcher Mike Stone and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 4th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hornets ahead, 3-0.

"Good win for us," said Trevino. "Now we'll focus on the next one."

The loss puts Buffalo at 11-9.
