Hamlin Slugs Cacti to 5-2 Win
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 22-year old second baseman Bryan Hamlin, the Albuquerque Cacti defeated the Memphis Privateers, 5-2. Chris Lechelt, who went 6.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 3 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 1. His record now stands at 9-2. Yoo-ngan Chen picked up the save, his 14th.
Early in the game, Hamlin had a 2-run home run for Albuquerque. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Cacti on top, 2-0.
"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Hamlin.
Albuquerque has won 6 consecutive games.
