Streaking Wind Win Another One
|
Waimea Wind starter Andy Salas kept the Detroit Death Stars hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-1 win. Waimea has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
In the bottom of the fifth, Waimea center fielder Joop Kok had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out, Kok stroked a 2-run triple to center. It made the score 3-0, Waimea. For the game, he was 1 for 4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Waimea manager Mario Perez.
