Freeze Throttle Privateers, 6-1
|
Minneapolis Freeze starter Karl Harrison turned in an exceptional performance against the Memphis Privateers at Privateers Grounds, resulting in a Minneapolis win, 6-1. Minneapolis reliever Karl Harrison picked up the win. Kiyonobu Yamasaki Jr., who is tied for 8th in the RAAA in complete games with 1, took the loss for Memphis. Matthew Otto earned the save, his 11th.
The Freeze got a big at-bat from second baseman Nathan Albury. For the game, Albury went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Minneapolis a 2-0 lead.
"Karl's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Minneapolis manager Ben Jeffcoat.
Minneapolis has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
