Chris Saipe left his imprint on the 16-5 Minneapolis win against the Billings Mustangs. Saipe, who is tied for 9th in the TAAA with a .571 slugging percentage, went 4 for 6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. Minneapolis goes to 51-23. The win puts them 4½ games up in their division.

Saipe came through with some timely hitting for Minneapolis. With the score 3-3 in the bottom of the third and two down, Saipe hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run home run. His 13th home run of the season made it 5-3, Minneapolis.
