Bill Pride impressed in the 6-4 Albuquerque win over Calgary. Pride went 2-3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win hiked the Albuquerque record to 40-24.

Pride had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 0-1 fastball from Bobby Mendoza, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Cacti a 5-4 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Pride.

Postgame, Cacti manager Randy Haynes praised Pride. "Having Hillbilly in the lineup makes us a better team."
