Minneapolis Tags Tallahassee with 5-4 Defeat
|
The Minneapolis Freeze and Tallahassee Captains played an entertaining game for The Carrier Dome patrons.
The Minneapolis Freeze overcame a good performance by Tallahassee center fielder Josh Webb to knock off Tallahassee, 5-4, at The Carrier Dome. Webb was 2-3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Mike O'Neil nailed down his 10th save.
It could have been a different outcome for Minneapolis, had it not been for Jeremy Owusu, the former first round draft pick . Owusu contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Minneapolis up, 3-0.
Owusu told reporters after the game: "This one was touch and go, but we were able to put it in the win column."
The Freeze, now 36-37, have won 4 in a row.
