With Late Score, Butterflies Beat Gremlins
Thanks in large part to left fielder Bobby Shaw, the Pennsylvania Butterflies clipped the Houghton Gremlins, 5-4, in 10 innings. Shaw was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Eric Reichel got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. The Gremlins fall to 8-12 and continue to sputter in the early going.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Pennsylvania first baseman Li-ben Liao, facing Pedro Pacheco, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Butterflies the 5-4 win.

"It's what good teams do, find a way to win," said Liao.
