In a close game at Ken Griffey Jr. Plaza, the Fairfield Flash edged the Indianapolis Ambition, 4-3. Fairfield left fielder John Myers stood apart with his performance. He went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The save went to Tony Oliva, his 1st this season. Indianapolis has now lost 5 consecutive games.
Myers contributed in the top of the third. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Fairfield get the win.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Myers told the Fairfield Today.
