Mainjer Now 7-2 After Subduing Bumblebees
|
The Peoria Caterpillars got a good effort from starter Jack Mainjer in defeating the Pasadena Bumblebees at Excavatar Park. The final score was 4-0. The Caterpillars own a robust 46-24 mark.
Mainjer, who dominated for Peoria, earned the victory to move to 7-2. He was in control the whole game, scattering 4 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 9. Pasadena batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"Enjoyed this one," Mainjer told the Peoria Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
