Freeze Handle Bowling Green, Snag 5-4 Win
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Bowling Green Racers and Minneapolis Freeze get after it.
The Minneapolis Freeze knocked off the Bowling Green Racers, 5-4, at The Ice Box. Tristan People was a big reason Minneapolis won. The center fielder went 4-4 with 4 singles, while adding 3 RBI. The win belonged to Josh Youmans in relief. His record improves to 1-1. David Naranjo took the loss for Bowling Green.
Had People not come through in the bottom of the seventh, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, People hit a run-scoring single. The Freeze took the lead, 5-4, and never looked back.
"You need to show up when your number's called," said People.
The Minneapolis winning streak has reached 3 games.
