Starting pitcher Henry Henshaw pitched well enough to help the Indianapolis Ambition beat the Calgary Cowboys, 5-3. Indianapolis reliever Henry Henshaw got the win, raising his record to 6-4. Alberto Ponce was tagged with the loss. With the win, Indianapolis raised its record to 30-29.

The Cowboys had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Ambition going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 19-year old catcher Timothy McAlear came to the plate. McAlear hit a run-scoring double on a 2-1 fastball from Calgary hurler Alberto Ponce. It was McAlear's 8th double of the year.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said McAlear.
