Freeze Come Back Late to Top Nationals, 5-4
The Minneapolis Freeze, with some walk-off drama, delighted their fans at The Ice Box.

The Minneapolis Freeze turned back the Acadia Park Nationals, 5-4, at The Ice Box. Sam Nyholm, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Minneapolis pitcher Mike O'Neil earned the win, hiking his record to 4-2. Peter Nichols suffered the loss.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Minneapolis pinch hitter Tom Shannon, facing Lorenzo Macias, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Freeze the 5-4 win.

"The crowd was boisterous tonight," said Shannon.

Minneapolis is 29-28 and Acadia Park, with the loss, 18-40.
