The Corral was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.

The Minneapolis Freeze got a stellar performance from pitcher Hector Martinez, who handcuffed the San Jose offense en route to a 2-0 win at The Corral. Martinez went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 8-2. Pete DeCaprio notched his 1st save in 2 chances.

It could have been a different outcome for Minneapolis, had it not been for Travis Till, the 23-year old catcher . Till contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the sixth inning to put Minneapolis up, 2-0.

"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Till.
