Argonauts Rally Late to Nip Hitmen
The Astoria Argonauts faced a tough opponent in Calgary pitcher Corey MacIndoe, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Mckinley Park by a final score of 4-3. MacIndoe went 8 innings and allowed no runs. Gomez Roches got the win, improving to 4-2. He held the Hitmen to 3 runs on 5 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 4. Today's win puts Astoria at 24-32, while Calgary falls to 36-22.

Antonio Calderon came through with a big-time hit for Astoria. The pinch hitter smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It was a team effort and I thought the guys had a good plan and approach," said Calderon after the game.
