Powered by Nick Frenz, the Fairfield Flash downed the Joplin Fireballs, 7-3. Frenz was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Flash. The Flash improved to 31-35.

With Fairfield leading 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Frenz came up to bat against Joplin pitcher Gordie Woodworth. Frenz hit a fastball to right for a grand slam home run. His 6th home run of the season put the Flash on top, 7-2.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Frenz told the Fairfield Today.
