Blazers Come Up Short at Vancouver, 8-7
Ryan Welch added some punch to the Vancouver offense, helping them outmuscle the Bloomington Blazers, 8-7. In the game, Welch, who is tied for 8th in the TML with a .654 slugging percentage, went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Dennis Follett recorded his 7th save for Vancouver. With the win, Vancouver lifts its record to 13-9.

Wonus Hagner, who is tied for 3rd in the TML in total bases with 59, helped out the Vancouver cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the shortstop was 1-4 with a double.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Welch.
