The Fairfield Flash beat the Fort Worth Cats, 8-6. Fairfield pitcher and San Juan, Puerto Rico, native Rafael Alfaro led the way. The first-place Flash bumped their record to 40-16.

Fairfield took the lead, 8-6, on Dave Hackett's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Fort Worth pitcher Brian Wild in the top of the ninth.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Alfaro.
