Johnson Belts Bunch of Base Hits
Amarillo left fielder Sean Johnson could do no wrong in his team's 15-3 win over the Cowboys, as he collected 5 hits.

"Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Cowboys skipper Thomas Hughes said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts."

Johnson agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game.

"Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."

Sean Johnson doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Garrett Frankel in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Dave Campbell in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Dave Campbell in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

Johnson is hitting .274 this year with 12 home runs, 25 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has 45 hits in 164 at-bats, 19 walks and a .372 on-base percentage. Johnson has played in 47 games.
