The Waimea Wind downed the Pasadena Bumblebees, 8-5. The hitting star was left fielder Brett Cline. Cline went 4-4 with 4 singles and was hit by a pitch for the Wind. Waimea is now 35-29, while Pasadena is 33-31.

Waimea shortstop Glenn Wagner contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a changeup to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 2nd hit of the season and put the Wind ahead, 3-0.

"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Cline told a local reporter after the game.
