Walnut Creek registered a win at Castlerock Field by beating the Maple Marauders, 6-4. Pitcher Marcel Antoine was one reason why the Warriors triumphed. Ray Clemens earned his 9th save, after closing out the game. The loss drops Maple to 7-16.

Bobby Harper, who finished 5th in the TML in hits with 212 last year, took Maple hurler Justin Henley deep in the bottom of the third. His 3-run home run put the Warriors on top, 4-2. In all, Harper had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"Marcel just settled in and did what he does," said Walnut Creek manager Armando Medina.
