The Albuquerque Cacti topped the Vancouver Canadians by the score of 8-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to shortstop Lance Vallery. Vallery was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Cacti on the day. Albuquerque bumps their record to 28-32 with the win.

Albuquerque used the timely hitting of Jonathan Grindstaff to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cacti on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Grindstaff said.
