Chapman Excels, But Flash Win
Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Rick Chapman, the Anchorage Moose lost to the Fairfield Flash, 9-6. Chapman hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 4. Fairfield reliever Fabien Nuvolari snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Steve Carlson shouldered the loss. At 28-26, the Flash find themselves in third place in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division.

Fairfield left fielder John Myers helped his team get ahead early. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he grounded out, driving in 1 run.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Myers.
