Calgary 3-1 Losers to Outlaws
|
Baton Rouge starter Isaiah Springfield kept the Calgary offense from doing much damage. The right-hander leaned on his changeup in leading the Outlaws to a 3-1 win. The win for the Outlaws lifted their record to 26-25.
Baton Rouge first baseman Ross Thambo contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a sinker to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 27th hit of the season and put the Outlaws ahead, 3-1.
"We busted our tails," said Calgary manager Brandon Ashley. "But we came up short."
