The home crowd had a good time watching the Bowling Green Racers and Thunder Bay Black Bears get after it.

Jayden Smith pitched a gem to lead Thunder Bay to victory over the Bowling Green Racers, 4-1. The second-place Black Bears now have a record of 31-20.

Verdiano Cesti had a big 2-run home run for the Black Bears in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Thunder Bay leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a sinker from Nate Crockett, who is tied for 5th in the RAAA in wins with 5, and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Black Bears on top, 4-1.

"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Smith.
