The Bowling Green Racers knocked off the Forest Acres Falcons, 6-1, at Top of the Hill. Jose Lopez, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Bowling Green won. The first baseman went 1-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Chris Sanchez, credited with the win, is now 2-6. He allowed 1 run on 9 hits in 6.1 innings. Bowling Green now sits at 22-39, while Forest Acres falls to 25-35.
Bowling Green took a 6-1 lead on Lopez's 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Miguel Rivera in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Bowling Green to the win.
