The 23-year-old went 5-for-5 at the plate at The Ice Box today, but his Minneapolis Freeze fell to the Detroit Death Stars, 10-8.

"It's hard to get too excited," the first baseman told BNN following the game. "After a game like this, everyone's quiet and they just want to go home."

Mike Mathers doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.
