Black Bears Capture 10-7 Win at The Hole
Thunder Bay first baseman Chris Pagan made his presence felt in the 10-7 Black Bears triumph over the Pasadena Bumblebees. Pagan went 3-4 with a triple, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Bobby Hamilton snagged the win in relief. He goes to 4-0 on the season. Bill Dukes suffered the loss. Mike Perschau earned the save for Thunder Bay, his 14th of the year.

Chris DeMoss had a big bases-clearing double for the Black Bears in the top of the fifth inning. With Thunder Bay leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a splitter from Bill Dukes and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Black Bears ahead, 6-2.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said DeMoss. "I think we're going to keep proving that."

The win puts Thunder Bay at 30-27 this season.
