The Fairfield Flash defeated the Calgary Cowboys, 10-6, in part because of designated hitter Mike Chevallier. Chevallier went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Flash. Tony Mireles earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 3.2 innings. His record is now 5-1. The save went to Kader Teroitich, his 1st this season.

With Fairfield leading 2-0 in the top of the second, Chevallier hit a sinker from Jose del Real for a 2-run double. It was his 6th double of the season and put the Flash ahead, 4-0.

"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," Chevallier told the Fairfield Chronicle.

The Flash move to 38-12 with the win, while the Cowboys drop to 20-28.
