Minneapolis left-hander Frank Gallagher made an effective start against the Pasadena Bumblebees at The Hole, leading his team to a 3-2 win. Minneapolis reliever Ernie Cook was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Julio Uribe took the loss for Pasadena. The first-place Freeze have won 4 straight games.
Leonardo Hernandez hit a run-scoring double off Julio Uribe in the top of the 14th, which put the Freeze in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Hernandez had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 6.
