The Astoria Argonauts topped the Minneapolis Freeze, 4-1, the lion's share of the credit going to right fielder Jay Helmke. On the day, Helmke went 2 for 3 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Argonauts. The save was Brandon Anderson's, his 8th. Astoria has won 3 straight, while Minneapolis has lost 5 in a row.
Astoria took a 2-1 lead on Roberto Gomez's 6th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Gomez hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Minneapolis pitcher Aymeric Chili visibly frustrated.
