The Pasadena Bumblebees defeated the Calgary Cowboys, 5-4, in TML AAA action at Cowboys Field. Pasadena pitcher Jim Rankin had a standout performance. Earning his 13th save for Pasadena was Ryan Sartore. Pasadena is now 32-25, Calgary 32-24.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Charles Randell? The 20-year old center fielder Randell stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Pasadena up, 5-4. For the game, he was 2 for 3, including 1 double and 1 single.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Calgary manager Thomas Hughes.
