The exploits of center fielder Omar Barroso, who is tied for 4th in the TAAA in triples with 3, helped the Minneapolis Freeze defeat the Pasadena Bumblebees, 8-1. Barroso went 3-4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Alex Munoz, the winner, improved to 5-0. He held the Bumblebees to 1 earned run on 3 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 4.

With Minneapolis leading 3-1 in the top of the fourth, Barroso hit a fastball from Randy Johnson Jr. for a 2-run double. It was his 8th double of the season and put the Freeze ahead, 5-1.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Barroso said after the game.
