The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.

The Indianapolis Ambition powered past the Minneapolis Freeze, 16-10, at Ken Griffey Jr. Plaza. Jimmy Cox was 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4, to lead the charge. Nicholas Nixon earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-1.

Katsuharu Fujii went 1 for 1 with a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Indianapolis. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 7-7 tie with a run-scoring walk off Terry Brulhart. It was his 8th walk of the season.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Cox told the Indianapolis Chronicle. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."

With the win, Indianapolis upped its record to 24-24.
