The Bowling Green Racers dealt the Fairfield Flash a 5-4 loss at Top of the Hill. Roberto Meza was the star on offense. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Bowling Green reliever Jose Gamboa picked up the win, upping his record to 2-4. Alex Garrastazu shouldered the loss. Even with the win, the Racers have a dismal 18-38 record.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Meza hit a slider from Alex Garrastazu for a run-scoring single. The Racers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Fairfield manager Kao-tsu Hark.
