Victory Pushes Hornets Record to 12-7
|
Jamie Barlow never let the Jazz get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Hornets to a win, 3-1. Justin Soule closed it out for Eureka, earning his 7th save. Eureka has a record of 12-7.
Had Jesus Trevino not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Trevino hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Hornets.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Trevino.
