The Bowling Green Racers wanted a good start from Jesus Giron -- and he delivered one. The result was a 2-0 Bowling Green win over the Waimea Wind at The Wind Tunnel. Jason Rhodes closed the door for Bowling Green, picking up his 7th save of the year. The Racers, at 23-24, inhabit 5th place in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division.

Bowling Green used a clutch at-bat from Tommy George to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Racers ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"No disrespect to the other team," said Bowling Green manager Ron Jeremy. "But it's nice to get an easy win."
