Fireballs Lose, 8-5, as Armadillos Rally
The Amarillo Armadillos defeated the Joplin Fireballs, 8-5, at The Firepit. Amarillo was led by 24-year old catcher Chris Hart, who went 2-3 with a triple, a double, and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI. Brian Taylor earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 3-4. Mike Batten earned the save for Amarillo, his 1st of the year.

In the top of the eighth, the Armadillos grabbed the lead when Hart hit his 1st triple of the season. The 2-run triple off Jaime Clayman made it 6-5, Amarillo.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Hart told the Amarillo Today.

Amarillo, at 25-29, sits in 5th place in the TML AAA Joe Torre Division.
