The Candiac Redbirds got a stellar effort from pitcher Adam Buckway, helping Candiac score a 7-2 win over the visiting Pasadena Bumblebees. Josh Reddish picked up the save, his 16th. The Redbirds bumped their record to 34-19 with this latest triumph.

The Redbirds got a lift from right fielder Roberto Ayala who had a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the sixth inning off Jon Calix. It was his 28th RBI of the season and put Candiac in front, 3-2.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Ayala told the Candiac Daily.
