The Waimea Wind converted a terrific effort from starter Tristan Cooperman into a win over the Thunder Bay Black Bears at Edgbaston. The Wind won the game by a final score of 5-2. The third-place Wind now have a record of 28-26.

Waimea used the hitting of Ian Campbell to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Wind on top, 4-0. For the game, Campbell had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Waimea manager Orlando González. "It's usually not just one thing."
