Beaches Rebuff Racers, 5-3

The Cozumel Beaches picked up a win at Bar Habor Stadium, taking down the Bowling Green Racers, 5-3. Starting pitcher Keith Hanley was a big reason why. Hanley got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Cozumel's winning streak has reached 5 games.
Ryan Tucker had a big 2-run home run for the Beaches in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Cozumel leading 2-1 and a runner on 2nd, he got a sinker from Joe Okocha and swatted a home run to center. It was his 5th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Beaches ahead, 4-1.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Hanley told the Cozumel Times.
