Bumblebees Dealt 4-2 Loss by Minneapolis
The Minneapolis Freeze got a stellar performance from pitcher John Spears, who handcuffed the Pasadena offense en route to a win, 4-2, at The Ice Box. Spears yielded 2 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-0. Adam Walsh closed out the game, earning his 10th save.

Minneapolis took a 3-2 lead on Jaheim Burke's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Burke hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Pasadena pitcher Harry Fielding visibly frustrated.

Freeze manager Ben Jeffcoat raved about Spears after the game. "I thought John was 'lights out.'"

Minneapolis now has a record of 30-21 with the win.
