Amarillo Tumbles Again, Falls, 4-2, to Waimea
|
The Amarillo Armadillos got a superb performance from pitcher Tanner Houck, but the Waimea Wind still won the game, 4-2. Houck threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball. Ben Nunley was credited with the save for Waimea, his 9th of the season. Waimea now sits at 22-23, while Amarillo falls to 18-26.
Riley Andrus had a key at-bat with two out in the bottom of the seventh for Waimea. With the bases loaded and the Wind leading 3-2, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"Good win for us," said Andrus. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
