A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Tallahassee Captains and Thunder Bay Black Bears.

The performance of John Stoecklin proved critical in helping Tallahassee beat Thunder Bay, 11-10. The Captains catcher went 2-4 with 2 home runs. Tallahassee, now 16-28, holds down last place in the TML AAA Joe Torre Division.

In the bottom of the eighth, Tallahassee second baseman Shane Burt gave his team the lead. With one out and the bases loaded, Rabbit hit his 4th double of the year. Thunder Bay pitcher Nathan Al-Assel surrendered it. With that, the Captains jumped in front, 11-10.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Stoecklin.
